My name is Nuha and I’m the founder of a small nonprofit called Doodles4change that works to improve the quality of healthcare in underserved communities through the arts.

 

All the proceeds from the Wheelchairs4Change Fundraiser will be used to fund wheelchairs for those in need at the National Institute of Tramatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 

Every $50 raised will fund 1 wheelchair for a patient who is either bedridden due to paralysis, amputation or recent surgical procedures and is unable to afford one themselves. Many of these patients stay bedridden for months and stuck in the free clinic because they are unable to leave without one. Though wheelchairs are not a solution, they provide a beacon of hope and opportunity for these patients to live a better quality of life.
