Wheelchair Accessible Swing - Muff Community Park

Muff Community Development needs help raising funds for a Wheelchair Accessible Swing at Muff Community Park.

Muff Community Development Co-Op has a policy of inclusivity, ensuring that facilities under its management are accessible to all. A playground installed at Muff Community Park in 2013 has a number of pieces of equipment which are accessible to children with disabilities, but none can facilitate use when in a wheelchair.

Following consultation with users of the Irish Wheelchair Association, it is proposed to install a specially designed wheelchair accessible swing within the playground, to increase the inclusivity of the facility and extend the range of activites available to children who are wheelchair bound.

Muff Community Development has managed to secure a €2,500 grant (for which we are very grateful), towards the project which will be costing circa €8000, meaning we need to raise a further €5500.
