As you may know, the novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is causing the death of thousands of people and a deficit in the education, health, and nutrition of many children.
The W.H.E against Covid-19 initiative is a project consisting of three integral components centered on Wellbeing, Health, and Education ("W.H.E."). As the Beta Kappa Iota chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, our vision for our Honors in Action initiative is to contribute to children's protection and welfare during this difficult time.
To develop our project successfully, we want to work with Lotus House, a non-profit shelter that serves more than a thousand children annually, whose mission is to improve their lives by providing support, education, and essential resources.
Our primary focus is to fundraise and collect as much money as we can to later donate the profits to Lotus House.
Please help us help children in need in our Little Havana Community. We need each of you!

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Phi Theta Kappa - Beta Kappa Iota Chapter emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.
