I’m James Sr., and I’m reaching out to you for help in supporting my son, James Jr., during one of the most challenging periods of his life. Despite his past achievements, James has encountered a series of setbacks that have left him in a dire situation. James’s Story: From an early age, James demonstrated exceptional intelligence and dedication. At a young age we instilled in him that he could achieve anything if he was willing to work hard to achieve it.

James believed what we told him and went to work. In elementary school when he graduated he won the award for reading more books than any other student in the school.

They called him the "Read-asaurus" .

The same was true in middle school. His instructors could see that he was an exceptional student.

They all loved him and said he would achieve great things one day.

And again in high school he excelled academically, earning accolades and scholarships that eventually led him to Stanford University. After graduating, he embarked on a promising career, contributing to innovative projects and making a positive impact in various fields.

However, James’s journey took an unexpected turn when he faced discrimination in the workplace. Despite his contributions, he was unjustly let go from his position, leading to a legal battle that drained his resources and shattered his confidence. This, combined with the onset of bipolar disorder, created a perfect storm of challenges that James has been struggling to overcome.

The Roadblocks: James’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to launch his own venture, Parlor Board, with the intention of creating a platform for like-minded individuals to connect and share experiences. Unfortunately, external factors beyond his control, such as changes in technology giants’ policies, led to the demise of his business before it even had a chance to thrive.

Now, James is burdened with overwhelming debt, pending lawsuits, and the weight of student loans that he and we, his parents, are struggling to repay. His mental health struggles have only compounded his difficulties, leading to legal issues and periods of mental instability.
