A Legacy Lost: Support for The Matney Family
Donation protected
Earlier today, a devastating fire destroyed the garage belonging to Jim and Carol Matney — a total loss of not just a building, but of decades of hard work, memories, and family history.
This wasn’t just any garage. It was where James first built his career, laying the foundation for what would become James Matney Trucking. It was a space filled with tools, parts, and stories from years spent racing, trucking, and providing for his family. It stood as a symbol of his grit, pride, and lifelong dedication to his craft and community.
Jim and Carol have been longtime residents who are known for their kindness and generosity to anyone they meet. Unfortunately, since the trucking business closed and Jim became unable to work, they’ve been struggling. Despite the many challenges that this family has been dealt recently, their children have still been rallying to sell what they could.
We are asking for your help—whether that’s through a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every little bit goes directly to helping Jim and Carol recover from this tragedy and find some peace and stability in the midst of overwhelming challenges.
Thank you for showing up for two people who have spent their lives showing up for others.
