Hi. My name is Helen. I am one of the church wardens at this beautiful church in the village of Christchurch, Cambridgeshire. Currently, we are not able to use the church as the ceiling has been deemed unsafe and must be replaced before we can use the building again. Adding to this, there is also a problem with rainwater not draining away from the building adequately and causing a serious damp issue. The cost of repairing both of these issues is going to be in excess of 150k. When it is all repaired and we are reopen and ready for use we will be able to restore the bridge between our church and the community of Christchurch.
