Sheffield City Council’s recently published Local Plan has been voted through by our councillors. This plan identifies areas of Greenbelt to be declassified, opening up areas for development for residential house building.
We believe that the proposed plan to build on site NWS31 (The horse field) in Wharncliffe Side is commercially unviable and would destroy important wildlife, harm local biodiversity and disrupt cherished community space.
Review of the plan now moves to public consultation and finally review by government planning inspectorate.
From Thursday 29th May, the public has an opportunity to put arguments forward as to why this plan is flawed.
We are looking to raise funds to cover administrative costs of running this campaign, which includes costs of printing flyers, posters and banners.
We hope you can support us.
