WHAMAGEDDON for Regen Brampton
I hope you'll join me this December in raising money to support those in need through Regeneration Brampton. I am not directly affiliated with Regen, but I have worked with them in the past, and I am a strong supporter of the charity. If you are not fammiliar with them, please check out their website.
I hope you'll be up for a little game this Christmas season. It's called WHAMAGEDDON, and the rules are simple.
1. Starting on December first, you must go as long as you can without hearing "Last Christmas" by WHAM! Once you hear it, you have been "WHAMMED", and you're out.
2. Once you have been WHAMMED, donate $1 for each day you have made it into December without hearing the song. (ie: if you hear "Last Christmas" on December 17th, you will donate $17)
3. The game ends on Christmas Day. If you manage to make it that far, you win and donate $25 (and then you get to spend Christmas Day listening to WHAM!).
4. Only "Last Christmas" BY WHAM! counts. Covers do NOT count. But ANY part of the song counts. As soon as you realize you are hearing "Last Christmas" by WHAM!, you are officially WHAMMED.
So there you have it. Please spread this around and see how many of your friends and family you can beat in WHAMAGEDDON.
*Special acknowledgment to Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss. I first saw him do this for his local charity a few years ago, and I've played every year since. This year I wanted to do it to help support a charity in my own community.
