My sister Izela Alvarez was recently involved in a very serious car accident this weekend. Unfortunately she suffered a broken radius (which she has received surgery on), a fractured nose, multiple fractured ribs, and a bruised lung. Most serious of all, her C2 (spinal vertebrae located in her neck) was fractured as well. Thank God, Izela is conscious and now in good spirits. We are still in the hospital as she recovers from surgery and is getting treatment for her multiple fractures.

Izela has a long road of recovery ahead of her as she will be unable to do much on her own. Izela is a full time student at UTEP and also works full time to pay all her bills independently. We are asking for donations to cover her medical bills and personal expenses while she is in recovery and cannot work.

We are lucky and grateful to God that she is still with us after such a horrible accident. Any help is appreciated and will go straight to her personal expenses and medical bills. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers for my sister.
