Help us get to Mexico!

We are so lucky to have received so much support from our community! From deliveries of diapers, to bags of winter clothes for Juniper, to an (incredible and surprise) check to our preschool for a month of tuition, we couldn't have survived this difficult time without all of you.
David's unexpected lay off in October prompted us to consider a lot of things in our lives and has motivated us to make a big move. The fact is that Austin isn't what it used to be, and we just can't afford to live here anymore. In order to reduce our expenses and continue doing the work we love, we've decided to move to San Miguel de Allende in Central Mexico. We will miss our community tremendously, but we are also excited to expose Juniper to a new culture and have our first international adventure as a family.
For those of you who are familiar with our background, it will be no surprise to hear that we are heading out again. We've both lived/worked/studied abroad many times in our lives, and were hoping to move to Latin America sometime in the future with Juniper. It turns out, the future is here! We are particularly excited to be immersed in Spanish again. June's already learned so much at her Spanish-Immersion Montessori school.
We hope to see you all at our going away party before we fly out as a family on February 13th. There's been a lot of expenses to make this move happen - visa paperwork, lawyers, real estate agents, flights, airbnbs, shipping, storage, vet paperwork - the list goes on and on. I can't imagine asking anymore from you all, but a few people have expressed a desire to help, so we thought this little GoFundMe would be a good place to help us get over the finish line.
Thank you all, so much, for every single thing you've done, said, and shared to support us. We LOVE you all! Please know that you will always, always have a place to stay in San Miguel de Allende. Each and every one of you have a standing invitation.
Sending lots of love,
