Hi, my name is Shannon, and I have started this GoFundMe for my beautiful niece Courtney. Courtney is 31 - a wife to Lachlan, and a loving mother to 4 gorgeous kids, Elias - 9, Octavia - 7, Zaria - 4 and Novalee -2 (her 3rd birthday is on the 12/12). Courtney also has Terminal Breast Cancer. Courtney was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer at the age of 27, during her 4th pregnancy after noticing issues with her breast. While pregnant, she endured rounds of chemo. Little Nova was born early and while Courtney got a chance to bond with her daughter for a short time, she was also getting prepped for a double mastectomy and radiation rounds all while looking after her family. After her radiation finished, and life looked like settling down as she went into remission however, Courtney then got the diagnosis that the cancer had returned and while we as a family and friends watched her fight for her life again, she remained positive. However, after months of relentless treatments, the cancer has metastasized.

Unfortunately, Courtney lost her battle this morning (4th Dec)

Courtney was a bright light in our lives, a devoted wife to Lachlan and a loving mother to her four beautiful children. Her battle with terminal breast cancer has left us heartbroken, especially as she won’t be here to celebrate the holidays or watch her kids grow. We want to honor her memory by supporting Lachlan and the kids during this incredibly difficult time.
