Bree and Jon's Adoption/ IVF
Donation protected
Hello! Our names are Jon and Bree Hepworth. We have been married for 3 years, we just celebrated our anniversary on June 2. Six months into our marriage we decided to TRY and expand our family. After two and a half years of trying to concieve with out any luck, we decided to see why we were unable to get pregnant. So here is what we found out..When Jon was 12 years old he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 2B, in order to get rid of the cancer, and make sure it didn't come back, he under went the most potent chemotherapy and radiation anyone can have. Finally at the age of 13 he went into remission for 12 years!! This last April he was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, due to the radiation and chemo he received. He has since had his thyroid removed and is now in remission again. We found out while talking with fertility specialists and medical oncologists, at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion Illinios, that the treatment they gave him when he was 12 has left us with a 5% chance that we will be able to conceive. So we came to the decision that adoption or IVF will be the best option for us. We have been ready to have children for two and a half years, and know that there is a child out there waiting for us! We all know that adoption/IVF is expensive, so Jon and I have baked cookies for the last few months to try and earn some extra money for the adoption, but it just seems like our end goal will take longer than we are hoping to wait. We would appreciate anything you can give, or just prayers on our behalf and the hopeful baby that we one day wish to bring into our family.Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read our story.
