Charity Single Rise Again in memory of my brother

My name is Fionalees and I am a singer-songwriter from West London. Sadly I lost my beloved brother due to Covid 19 on Friday April 17th, 2020. On the very night that I came back from the hospital, I called my friend Jack who consoled me over a very emotional phone call. Jack then came up with the awesome song title ‘We Will Rise Again’ and I took it from there and wrote the rest of the song and this is exactly how ‘Rise Again’ was born. Jack then went on to compose the song that you all hear today. I was totally devastated and in so much pain from loosing my brother and seeing him for the last time that writing the song was my coping mechanism. 'Rise Again’ is a raw account of expressing to the world how I actually felt in that moment and how we can all feel at times of despair.

The exclusive debut charity single ‘Rise Again’, tackles the mindset of those that have gone through any form of adversity, particularly in these uncertain times.

I chose to express my deepest feelings through an art form but there are so many others who have lost a loved one during this time that don’t know what to do or who to speak with. Therefore Cruse Bereavement Care is the wonderful charity that we are choosing to fundraise for. Cruse has helped so many people in different communities overcome grief and adversity and offer their expertise for Free. The Cruse Team are also genuine and compassionate, hence the reason that this charity is so close to my heart. 

It would simply mean the world to Jack and I if people donate even the smallest amount. Not only is it for a fantastic cause but this song could help so many people who have gone through adversity and bereavement to understand that they are truly not alone, that they can and will rise again from adversity, and that Cruse Bereavement Care is just one phone call away.
