Story:

My name is Shelley-Jo Kyle, and I’m the mother of Joel Mills, my bright, red-haired son who was found deceased in the Niagara River in September 2023. Joel was only 31 years old — gentle, creative, spiritual, and deeply loved. He deserved so much more time.

Although authorities ruled Joel’s death an accident, the evidence, the injuries to his body, and the conflicting reports tell a different story. I believe Joel was murdered, and that the truth has been ignored or covered up. There are clear signs of trauma that were overlooked — and I cannot rest until this is brought to light.

I’ve filed a claim in Superior Court and continue to push for an investigation, but I cannot afford the cost of legal representation alone. Most lawyers charge between $300–$500 per hour, and this journey will take time, strength, and funds.
