My name is Danielle Williams, a proud Jamaican born and raised in Savanna-La-Mar and a graduate of The Manning’s School — a community that shaped the foundation of who I am today. Witnessing the recent devastation across Westmoreland, from Savanna-la-Mar to Grange Hill, and its environs has been truly heartbreaking. Homes, schools, churches, medical facilities, and businesses have been destroyed, leaving countless families displaced and struggling to meet even their most basic needs.
Rather than standing by, I have chosen to take action. With the support of my family, friends, advisors, and work community, I’ve launched the Westmoreland Relief Initiative, a grassroots effort committed to providing direct and transparent aid to those most affected. Our mission is simple: to bring help to the people who need it most, quickly and responsibly.
We have partnered with a trusted Florida-based shipping company to ensure that donations of food, clothing, medical supplies, and other essential items are delivered safely to Jamaica. Upon arrival, my mother, Jacqueline Malahoo, operator of the RUBiS Gas Station in Westmoreland, and I, along with our dedicated local team, will oversee the organized distribution of supplies to families in the hardest-hit areas, specifically between Savanna-la-Mar and Grange Hill.
Donations can be mailed to:

All funds raised will go directly toward:
- Procuring relief supplies such as food, water, toiletries, baby care items, and first aid kits.
- Covering shipping and logistics costs.
- Supporting local rebuilding efforts within the affected communities
This initiative is deeply personal to me as these are my people, my neighbors, and my family. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps restore hope and stability to someone who has lost everything.
Thank you for standing with us and helping to Rebuild Westmoreland, together.
