I've been blessed with a miracle; I'm having QUADRUPLETS!

3 boys, and 1 girl!

I went from having a challenging fertility treatment plan to conceive my daughter Alivia; many IUI and IVF rounds, to the most fertile woman North of Edmonton!

What a miraculous turn around!

When I received news I'll admit it was a rough scene in the ultrasound lab when I was informed that there wasn't just one baby, BUT FOUR! The ultrasound technician shared with me afterwards what she thought to herself as each baby came into view; "how am I going to tell this woman she's having 4?!" She said she had no idea how to code it on her computer even, as she'd never seen this in her 20 year career. (Which isn't surprising... the odds of conceiving quadruplets are 1 in 700,000 to 1 in a million!)

I felt every possible emotion wash over me as I lay on the table, the technician clicking away, steadily getting the measurements of each fetus. (The biggest and most urgent thought on my mind: how much longer until she's done? I really have to pee! Haha.)

I left the clinic and went straight to a friends house where I shared the results of the scan. They soothed and encouraged me. "If anyone can do this, it's YOU!"

I can say that I am now over the initial shock, and ready to share this exciting discovery with everyone. I am into the second trimester and have had several more ultrasounds since the first. The children are doing relatively well. I had a scare with Baby B, that there may be a birth defect. It looked a while back as though there could have been a hole hole in his heart, but it looks like it has bow closed to a microscopic size.

I reaching out to my community through this go fund me campaign to help with the associated costs once the children are born, and into the first year. I am travelling this road as a SINGLE MOM. I am expecting at least a one moth stay in Edmonton to be with the children while they are in the hospital. (Quadruplets are always premature, and I am expecting delivery between week 32 and 34.)

What an exciting Journey it will be going forward! I already feel as though I have a whole village behind me, cheering me and my 4 little blossoms all the way to delivery!
