Hello, my name is Devan and I am asking for the support of my community to assist in raising funds to help care for an outdoor stray I recently brought inside. Westley showed up at the feeding station in my back yard in spring and became a regular throughout summer. In August I discovered an abscessed wound on his elbow, and made the decision to bring him to the vet to get treatment. I then learned he was diabetic. Thanks to a few very generous donations from friends and family, I was able to start him on a prescription diet, and he will also be starting insulin this week. This diagnoses does not make him a good candidate to continue living outdoors. While I am in no position to take on another permanent feline companion at this time, I am dedicated to getting him the care he needs until I can find a rescue to take over.

The costs of Westley's care far exceed what I am capable of providing on my own, and I am asking for donations of any size to help fund his ongoing treatment. Your contributions will help me provide him with prescription food, glucose monitor, as well as rechecked blood work to track his progress.
