<div>Hello, my name is Devan and I am asking for the support of my community to assist in raising funds to help care for an outdoor stray I recently brought inside. Westley showed up at the feeding station in my back yard in spring and became a regular throughout summer. In August I discovered an abscessed wound on his elbow, and made the decision to bring him to the vet to get treatment. I then learned he was diabetic. Thanks to a few very generous donations from friends and family, I was able to start him on a prescription diet, and he will also be starting insulin this week. This diagnoses does not make him a good candidate to continue living outdoors. While I am in no position to take on another permanent feline companion at this time, I am dedicated to getting him the care he needs until I can find a rescue to take over.
