Hi everyone,
At 4pm on Sunday 26th April 2026 - Joshy Newton, Charlotte Korb and Amber Streeter from West Lavington Youth Club alongside Lisa Gurr and Lisa Newton from The Mind Tree in Rowde are abseiling to support two incredible local causes.
We’re taking on a challenge that’s equal parts exhilarating and terrifying: abseiling down King Alfred's Tower near Stourhead. The tower is 160 feet (49 meters) high.
We really appreciate every donation which will help raise vital funds:
West Lavington Youth Club gives young people a safe environment to make friends, learn new skills and have fun on a weekly basis. The Youth Club engages young people and particularly specialises in supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Mind Tree Counselling Service, which provides essential mental‑health support to those who need it most and provides a range of different activities throughout the year alongside a community cafe onsite.
Your contribution, will make a real difference and keep these services thriving. We greatly appreciate any amount you can give to help support these amazing causes in our community. Thank you for helping us step over the edge — literally — for a good cause.
