On 2/20/2020 at 2 am, Pastors Saretha and Harold West's life changed forever. The West's, pillars in their community and a safe haven for many, along with their children, Harold Jr. Alayna, Lynn, Naeelah, Ahteras and two family dogs, lost their home and all personal belongings in a fire. The blazing fire caused the roof to collapse. What was not consumed in the fire was destroyed by water damaged caused by the efforts made to stop the fire. 

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely and no one was injured in the fire. However, the West family will never be the same.

On April 4, 2020 at 2 pm, The West's are celebrating 11 years of service, outreach , and dedication to this Schenectady Community and beyond at their church, Greater Faith Christian Center, 809 Strong St. Schenectady, NY 12307. The West's are deserving of this honor and even more of the love, support, and financial  contribution to aid in their recovery from this traumatic and unexpected event.
