Wendy's Uganda Service Trip

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to return to Uganda in January 2019 and bring my friends along!! Please help me to raise money for this worthy cause! 

I traveled to this beautiful country in July 2017 and again in July 2018 f after working for two years with Ugandan Orphan Childcare Ministries.  It was a life changing experience.  I fell in love with the culture, the red dirt, bright happy smiles, and little hands slipping into mine.  

This year, I am bringing UOCC sponsors and a team of friends with me to experience what I have and to serve at the orphanage.  We'll get to hang out with the children, participate in the daily chores of the orphanage and be part of a building project on the grounds.  We're also going to get a full picture of the challenges in Uganda by serving and touring African Hearts Organization, Healing Faith Uganda and Sole Hope. 

 The main mission of our nonprofit here in the US is to provide education for the American public regarding misconceptions of cultural and economical challenges in this region.  Our secondary mission is supporting the orphanage in their vision of bringing up leaders in their country.  

Bringing our sponsors will help them to understand much more about the challenges of the orphanage and Ugandan life than anything that we can explain.  This trip will also bring exposure to our work and help us to gain greater support for the orphanage.

Thank you for your support! All donations will be used to get me to Uganda as well as go directly to funding projects we will work on while we are in Uganda. One of the bigger projects we will be doing is going into the village where our foster children have lived to hang mosquito nets in the homes, educate the families and help out in other ways as needed in the area on the days we are there. Extra funds are needed to cover this project and the others we have planned.
