Sion & Sionyn – The Welsh Wizards

We’re Sion and Sionyn — The Welsh Wizards — taking on the 2025 Mongol Rally, a 10,000+ mile overland journey from Wales to Mongolia and beyond, in a tiny 1.0L car, with no GPS, no backup, and one mission: make it to the finish line while supporting causes we care about.

This page is dedicated to Antur Waunfawr, a brilliant Welsh charity that provides meaningful work, training, and community involvement for people with learning disabilities through environmental and social projects across North Wales.

Why We’re Asking for Support

We’ve covered the cost of the rally upfront ourselves — the vehicle, entry, visas, and more — but we’re still facing unexpected expenses along the way: mechanical fixes, fuel shortfalls, border costs, and basic supplies that could be the difference between finishing the rally or not.

This fundraiser will be split as follows:

A portion of the donations will go directly to Antur Waunfawr

Any extra raised will help get us over the finish line — helping with final-stage costs if and when things go wrong (and they will)
