One Well for Baptist Primary School in Nigeria
Please help us to raise money to build a well for the Baptist Primary School in Idanre, Nigeria! The 7th grade students at Taylor Road Middle School and the Chattahoochee students from Student Leadership Johns Creek have joined forces to bring clean water to a primary school in a rural area of Nigeria. In 7th grade social studies, the students have learned about how unequal access to clean water impacts irrigation, trade, industry, and drinking water. The students were shocked to know that some adults and children in rural areas walk miles every day to get water, and the water is not guaranteed to be clean. The 7th grade students decided to do something about it and created the “One Well” project.
“One Well” was created to raise money to build one well at a time in the community of Idanre. The first well will be built for the students at the Baptist Primary School. The students do not have access to clean water for drinking or washing their hands. The “One Well” goal for 2021 is to build one well that will provide the school and the community with access to clean water. The “One Well” project team believes that all students should have the opportunity to drink clean water every day. Please join the “One Well” Project in bringing clean water to the students at the Baptist Primary School. Every dollar counts!
