Hi everyone,
We haven’t shared much about our journey until now, but the financial weight of this season has become heavier than we can carry on our own.
Asking for help in such a public way feels incredibly awkward and vulnerable for us. This wasn’t an easy decision. We’ve spent a lot of time praying about it, and ultimately we felt led to reach out to our circle and allow ourselves to accept help where it’s offered.
This pregnancy has been considered high-risk, which has meant many more medical appointments than we anticipated. Along the way, we’ve had a fetal echocardiogram to check Wyatt’s heart, extra growth scans, and twice-weekly non-stress tests, on top of regular prenatal care. While we are so grateful for attentive medical care, and grateful that Wyatt is healthy and expected to arrive within the next month, the costs have added up quickly.
We do have health insurance, but it is a high-deductible plan that reset earlier this month. We are currently paying nearly $400 a month toward medical payment plans, with outstanding bills totaling approximately $5,500. We still have about four more weeks of appointments ahead, as well as the delivery and hospital stay, which will bring additional expenses.
Any funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward current and future medical bills related to this pregnancy, the delivery, and welcoming baby Wyatt into the world.
Whether you’re able to give, share, or simply keep our family in your prayers, we are deeply grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us in any way during this season.
With love and gratitude,
Mikayla & Dan
