Hi everyone, my name is Daniel Collins and I’m fundraising for RaShawn Clark. Rashawn, at the mere age of 16, was sentenced to 20 years in prison to be followed by 10 years of probation on one felony charge in which no one was physically hurt. In his case he was the least culpable yet received the harshest sentence. We fought to be bring him home due to his unjust sentencing to no avail. Rashawn has accepted full responsibility for his actions. I’ve been to prison and home twice before RaShawn has been released on the sentence he received as a juvenile. The Department of Juvenile Justice recommended RaShawn receive a rehabilitation program. The State gave him a total of 30 years instead. Since being incarcerated RaShawn’s mom passed away. We are raising this money to give RaShawn the absolute best opportunity at success when coming home next year. RaShawn is an amazing human being with a pure heart. He opened my mind and heart up to change. He extended grace and mercy to me opening my eyes up to the systemic injustices and racism when he didn’t have to. The Florida Department of Corrections offers inmates $50 and a bus ticket upon release from incarceration. Let’s set RaShawn up for the best possible success. We plan on starting a podcast once he is home. Some of these proceeds will go to purchasing the equipment. Thank you for being a part of our support network. Thank you for the continued love and support.
