Taz is getting out of prison! We are fundraising to support her getting settled in her new place so that she can thrive.
Please support Taz with donations and by sharing this fundraiser!
_________________________________________________________________________
Taz was given an indefinite sentence (DPP = detention for public protection) when she was only 15. As a young teenager experiencing mental health crisis as the result of severe trauma, she was sentenced as an adult in the Crown Court. When she needed support, instead Taz was sentenced to spend her formative years in prison. Now she is 31 years old, and finally has a chance to build a life for herself.
We are hoping to raise £2000 towards:
- furniture and other household essentials: Taz will be moving to unfurnished accommodation, so she needs everything from a bed to cutlery to towels;
- new clothes: in prison, access to clothing is heavily restricted. Taz hasn't had the chance to choose her own clothes for over 15 years;
-budgie suplies: Taz will be sharing her home with Fidget and Blue, budgies who lived with her and her cell-mate at HMP Foston Hall. She would like to use some money to ensure they have the supplies needed, such as food.
Taz has big plans for the future. She hopes to open a community cafe and use her passion for baking to raise money to support those still in prison. Watch this space - more updates to come.
Until all are free <3
