Welcome home Frank!

Donation protected
We hope you will join us in welcoming home our friend, Frank!

Frank is a 73-year-old Brooklynite. After nearly 40 years in prison, Frank was granted parole in October.

We know Frank by his generosity and care for others. A talented woodworker and craftsman, he loves to give handmade gifts (like the hand-carved wooden flower pictured above). He earned his GED while in prison and cares about learning about the world around him. He is an exceptional mechanic and looks forward to repairing cars again. He is most excited, however, to finally be reunited with his siblings, his son, and his three beloved granddaughters who he has never met in person.

After spending over half his life in prison, Frank is re-building a life in Brooklyn. Our intention is to support Frank with the basics, so that his transition into freedom is as seamless as possible. For example, Frank will need home goods, clothing, a phone, and other essentials as he moves into a family member’s home. He will need bus and subway fare to attend support groups and re-entry services. Frank also has several health conditions that will demand immediate and long term attention.

We (Asa, Daniel, and Alexis) have been working with Frank for several years as volunteers through the Parole Preparation Project and Parole Advocacy Initiative. We are over the moon that he has the opportunity to be a brother, father, grandfather, and community member in the free world.

Thank you for supporting our friend (and new neighbor!) Frank. No contribution is too small! We are grateful.
