Welcome Home Erik!

In 2011, Erik Davidson began serving a sentence of 16 years to life for burglary. Now, he received clemency from the Governor and is finally coming home after 13 years.

Erik is 54 years old and completely transformed while in prison. He received his Associates and will soon receive his Bachelors, taking classes at Columbia University where professors described him as one of the brightest students they'd met. He is a poet whose work has been published in literary journals. While in prison, he volunteered as a mentor for younger prisoners, encouraging them to change their lives and pursue their education. He was also clerk of the Honor Block and caretaker of the prison's cat, Tiger.

We have created this GoFundMe to help Erik once he gets out. The money will go towards everything he needs: cell phone, clothes, shoes, food, savings...and so much more. Erik said, "I never thought I would be given a second chance. When I get home, I want to give back to the community and make those who believed in me proud. I want to show others that with hard work, real change is possible." Now let's help get him all the resources he needs when he comes home!
