Weber County Jail Book Drive

Hello!

We’re a group of social work students organizing a book drive to improve the library at the Weber County Jail. Right now, the library is pretty bare, and the books available either don’t match what the inmates are interested in or are missing parts of series (like having Harry Potter books 1, 2, and 5 but not the whole set).

The inmates are eager to read and learn. They’ve told us they’re especially into book series, graphic novels, and educational books like language guides and ACT prep. Reading gives them something to do and helps them grow both personally and academically.

Since the jail can’t accept direct donations, we’re raising money to buy these books ourselves and donate them to the library. Your contribution will help us provide books that the inmates actually want to read. Whether it’s a series, a graphic novel, or an educational resource, every donation will make a huge impact.
