Weathercock Farm Park was gifted to the council and the wider community for use by residents and sports teams for recreational purposes only. The original security measures have proved to be inadequate and the park has recently been used by people for unauthorised activities that has deprived the larger community from using this valuable resource for its intended purpose.

With the help of funds raised by this appeal we have installed two retractable bollards in front of the gate on Harboro Road and one retractable bollard on the other side of the gate. The grass verge on the Harboro Road side has also been raised in order to force vehicles to enter the field slowly.

We are no longer actively raising funds and any remaining funds will be kept in reserve should any further work be required or any remedial work to the entrance be needed.

All work will be carried out in conjunction with Trafford Council.
