Every year, we raise funds to create Holiday Gift Packages for neighbors in the DC metro area who are experiencing homelessness. The packages include a combination of cold-weather items, toiletries, first aid supplies, and a holiday greeting card. The packages are distributed to shelters and other organizations serving the homeless community through the EDC Jewish Community Center's D25 Day of Service. This year, our goal is to raise $3,500 to make 660 care packages that will be distributed at 4 DC-area shelters.

 

We appreciate any support you can provide! Just $5.25 covers an entire care package--the gift of warm feet and self-care for someone who may not receive any other gifts this season. 100% of donations go directly into the packages! This effort is volunteer-run, we all donate cash ourselves, we cover the cost of overhead, and we carry nothing over year to year.
