We See You - Proactive Peer Support

My name is Russ Reimer. I am a Canadian Firefighter/Paramedic who has become extremely passionate about First Responder mental health, both due to my own journey with mental health challenges, trauma and PTSD, as well as seeing how the job can decimate some of my fellow brothers and sisters destroying their personal lives and the family’s and friends around them. I have a LARGE vision for Proactive Peer Support called “We SEE You”. The premise is this, I ACTUALLY see you, so I show up, I reach out, I intentionally JOURNEY with the person who is hurting and broken so they are NEVER alone! Since stepping out on my own and doing this I am now having a very hard time journeying with the amount of First Responders and others that would like to journey with me. My FAMILY has to remain number 1, and my work life balance is falling out of line as I need TIME if I am going to reach people like this. Please help me get that time by donating some money. With the money I receive I can cut back the amount of extra work I do and instead use that time to INTENTIONALLY go and SEE and be with those who have reached out. Being a Firefighter, I always thought I would be rescuing people from burning buildings, or bringing them back with medical interventions. I did not realize that the TRUE rescuing I was going to be doing was the HEARTS and SOULS of people as I ensure that they NEVER journey alone! THANK YOU so much for ANY support I receive!
