We require a bath-Knight to aid safety and ease discomfort.

Hi, my name is Nicola Thom, and I am seeking to raise funds to acquire a bath-knight (belt hoist) for my husband Malcolm.
In April of this year, Malcolm was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We have found that using bath salt helps Malcolm become weightless in the bath and subsequently eases pain and discomfort. Unfortunately, entering and exiting the bath proved a safety risk and painful.
We had requested assistance from the local council for a bath aid, but after 2 + months, we have heard nothing! We have also been informed that the council would not help with a bath belt and are likely only to provide a bath seat, which defeats the goal we aim to achieve and renders shower use impossible due to a permanent electric seat being put in place!
After contacting Bath-lift Limited, I have been quoted £1995 for the battery model of the hoist, which includes installation. Being disabled myself, funds to cover such a cost are, for both myself and my husband, unattainable.
All funds raised will go towards the cost of the Bath-Knight hoist.
