My name is Qummar Akash, a Pakistani national currently living in Malaysia. I am writing to you with urgency and hope, seeking support and guidance during an extremely difficult time for my family.

I am an ex-Muslim who was forced to flee Pakistan due to serious threats to my life, including blasphemy-related accusations that resulted in years of imprisonment. After my release, it became impossible for me to live safely in my home country.

At present, I am living in Malaysia with my wife and our newborn daughter. We do not have any legal residency status here, and due to my background as a former Muslim in a Muslim-majority environment, we are constantly living in fear. Our situation forces us to remain hidden for our own safety.

Despite applying to the United Nations for refugee status more than two years ago, our case has still not been registered or processed. Without legal protection, I am compelled to work discreetly just to provide basic necessities for my family. This exposes us to exploitation, financial instability, and ongoing insecurity.

Our primary goal is to leave Malaysia and relocate to a country where ex-Muslims and refugees can live safely, with dignity and basic human rights. However, the financial and legal barriers to relocation are beyond our capacity.

I am reaching out to your community to request any form of assistance, whether it be:
