We Love You Zully

First and foremost thank you to EVERYONE!

About 5 years ago I asked for recommendations for a cleaning lady….someone that could come every so often and get those “hard to get to spaces.”
Little did I know that Zully was going to enter our lives…not just as a cleaning lady; but as a true friend.

It would be nearly impossible to describe her but let me try. You know those people who have a lot less than you have, but would still give you everything if they could? Well that’s her. Every now and then I come home to the cutest surprises. She loves my girls as if they were her family. She brings them the cutest little things whenever she can.

Short story: when I met my husband over 10 years ago and we began to date I told him to please never spend any money on buying me flowers because they die and are a waste of money. I told him to “buy me food instead.” Here we are 13 years later and do I regret telling him that? Sometimes I do because even though flowers are temporary, they do bring these feelings which bring so much happiness even if it’s for a short time. The thought behind the flowers is a reminder that someone loves you and is grateful for you.

Well, Zully is the person that surprises me with flowers whenever she can. Zully is the person that I can pick up the phone and ask her to be here not because I need the house clean, but because a last minute appointment happened and I need her to watch my baby for a second. She’s the one who has written me so many cards and has always kept us in her prayers. Oh and of course, she’s the one who has found endless lost earrings, toys, etc.

Now her family needs all the prayers and well wishes they can get. I do not know if they want the public knowing her medical history so respectfully I won’t go into too much detail. But right now she is in the hospital completely intubated and I’m just hoping for a healthy recovery because I couldn’t imagine life without her. She has raised two brilliant boys who are now in high school. She left her family in Colombia in hopes they could have a better future here in the United States. Like most mothers, she works endlessly to make sure they have everything they need.

God only knows how long she will be out of work for. So I started this in hopes to help cover some expenses. Their family would appreciate anything. But as mentioned before, more than anything they would appreciate prayers in hopes she has a healthy recovery.

Again, thank you to everyone! I love each and every single one of you!
