Three hours after our father passed away, money was withdrawn from his bank account.
While my sisters and I were grieving one of the hardest losses of our lives, someone else was already taking from him.
On January 18, 2026, we lost our father after his painful battle with prostate and bone cancer. Watching him suffer was devastating—but what came after has been just as heartbreaking.
In the final months of his life, our father was no longer mentally himself. The radiation and medications left him vulnerable, and during that time, he became isolated from us. A woman he worked with stepped in and took control of his care—going as far as telling hospital staff that he had no family, that she was the only person in his life.
We didn’t even realize the extent of what was happening until it was too late.
After his passing, as we tried to handle his affairs and protect what he left behind, we discovered that money had been taken from his account just hours after he died. Since then, we have been unable to recover many of his personal belongings, which remain in her possession.
Out of fear and urgency, we took legal steps to protect his estate—only to receive notice on April 13, 2026, that she is now fighting us for it.
We are not just mourning our father—we are fighting for him.
What should have been a time to grieve has turned into a painful legal battle we never asked for. Between tuition, everyday expenses, and now mounting legal costs, we are overwhelmed.
We are asking for help not just financially, but to stand up for what is right—for our father, for his legacy, and for the truth.
If you can donate or even share our story, it would mean everything to us. Thank you for taking the time to listen and for helping us through something we never imagined we’d face.
