On August 13, 2025, a fire destroyed the home we were renting in Findlay Creek. In just minutes, everything was gone—our clothes, belongings, savings, memories. We walked away with nothing but the clothes on our backs.

This home wasn’t just a place to live. It was the fresh start my aunt worked so hard to create after surviving cancer. She fought her way back to health, then worked tirelessly to save enough to give us a safe place to call home. That home is now ashes.

My younger brother and I lived there too. Now, all three of us are left with nothing—no shelter, no stability, no peace. Just pain, fear, and uncertainty.

We’re incredibly grateful to the firefighters who risked their lives to help. But we’re struggling, and we don’t know where to begin.
