In 20 years of service, you get to see a lot of life unfold. We’ve been a gathering place to celebrate your marriages, degrees, new family members, championships, milestone birthdays, and anniversaries.
We’ve also been there with you when you only had an hour before returning to the hospital to be with a loved one, when you finalized your divorce, lost your pet, scheduled your chemo appointments, became empty nesters, rode out ice storms, and a tornado (or two). We have been a watering hole for the neighborhood, but you all made us a sanctuary, and we mark it a great success that we got to do this with you for so long. We’re deeply saddened to see this end, but we are so grateful for the time you gave us, and we reflect on the years warmly.
We have been inundated with tales of Taproom past, and it has been incredibly moving to hear how each generation has added to this space, and how it has shaped you as much as it has us. Many of us grew up here, and hearing your stories and reading your tributes reminds us that this place has been so much more than a building.
We’ll be releasing a final round of merch early next week, and we’re going to redistribute the total earnings back to our staff. We’re setting this fundraiser up as our final tip pool, so whatever you feel inclined to throw in the virtual tip jar will directly help our staff between jobs— And of course, if you’ve got any employment leads, our crew comes highly recommended. They are some of the most hardworking, genuine, and deserving folks out there; so be sure to come see them, and bid us farewell in these final days.
Thank you for many, many great years, Nashville.
Love,
Your favorite neighborhood bartenders and servers ;)
