It's Sharon's turn.❤️

Hi, I’m Karen—and I’m launching this GoFundMe to help my sister Sharon take a long-overdue trip to her happy place: the beach. We’re calling it Go Fund Sharon, because if you know her, you know she’s spent her entire life funding hope for others and now, well, it's her turn.

Sharon is currently battling stage 4 adenocarcinoma. Her diagnosis is advanced, and her prognosis is heartbreaking. She’s been mostly bed-bound for the past year, but her spirit? Still unstoppable.

Why the Beach? Sharon has always found peace by the ocean. Thanks to our amazing cousin Craig, we’ve secured a place for her to stay. She can’t fly, so we’ll be driving her there once she gets medical clearance. The logistics are still coming together, but the destination is set—and the goal is simple: get her toes in the sand, face in the sun, and the serenity she deserves.

Why Sharon? For over 35 years, Sharon has been a fierce, compassionate advocate for the homeless and underserved. Her outreach has helped thousands find shelter, food, clothing, rehab, and dignity. She’s trained college students in street outreach, built community coalitions, and even continued her work from a recliner—coordinating donations of coats, socks, underwear, and meals while managing her illness.

She’s the kind of person who meets people exactly where they are. No judgment. No ego. Just open arms and relentless love.

She’s also helped me personally—supporting my sons through their own crises with the same grace and grit she offers everyone else.
