Hi, my name is Vicky, and I’m reaching out for help for me and my three beautiful children as we try to rebuild our lives after escaping an extremely abusive situation.

For years, I lived in fear. My ex-husband subjected me to horrific physical and emotional abuse. Because of the injuries he caused, I’ve been left with permanent damage — I’ve lost all feeling in one of my hands after the nerves in my arm were severed. I also suffer from severe PTSD, anxiety, and depression, alongside ongoing health problems including a blood disorder, a collapsed lung, and chronic migraines.

My children — all of primary school age — witnessed far too much of what happened. They’ve had to speak to the police and cope with trauma that no child should ever have to experience. Despite everything, they continue to amaze me every day with their courage and love.

When we finally escaped, we left with nothing but the clothes on our backs. I’ve managed to secure a property, but it’s left me with nothing again. I’m doing my best to start over and make this house a home for my kids, but it’s incredibly hard to do it alone.

I’ve never been the type to ask for help, but right now, we really need some kindness and support to get back on our feet. Any donation, no matter how small, would go towards furnishing our home and giving my children some stability and comfort after everything they’ve been through.
