Hi there,
My name is Bear and along with my partner in charitable endeavours, my mum Bev, we have done a series of collections for easter eggs so that they can be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital for children and Keech Hospice Care, two places that we hold near to our hearts.
We started doing this in 2019 and ended up with a respectable 500 eggs. The next year we achieved 550.
In 2021, we aimed higher and secured 800 eggs.
2024, we finally broke 1000.
Last year, we've decided stopped receiving donations once we got to 1000 again. We would like to aim for this again.
We're back again to keep going because this is something our family loves to do.
Money donated will go towards one of two things; our supermarket trips to buy more eggs and the renting of a van to transport everything to the charities on delivery day. Please note that allergy specific/free from chocolate is more expensive than the standard sweets. We do our best to purchase as much of that as possible alongside regular chocolate so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy easter.
Any donation is appreciated regardless of how big or small. Everything will eventually go to inpatients, outpatients, visitors (siblings for example) as well as easter egg hunts and auctions to raise money for their establishments.
Pictures are included; our hauls from previous years, our huge shopping trips and when our local fire station partnered to help us.
Thank you in advance for the help. We look forward to posting updates.
Bear & Bev
