Hi, we are three local women who are ready to make a major change to the Stockport community.
inspireHER are a new Community Interest Company (a business with the goal of benefiting the community rather than share-holders) whose aim is to create a thriving and inclusive community where all women in Stockport can be empowered, supported and INSPIRED through every phase of their lives.
We’re going to do this through inclusive classes, workshops and events that will improve the knowledge, health and wellbeing of the women in Stockport - as well as being fun and providing meaningful social connection!
But…we need your help. Our budget is limited and starting up and running a new business isn’t cheap. We’re reaching out for support; your generosity can help us bring this to life and allow more women to access our programme of events.
Your donation will first go towards:
- Supporting initial studio rent – providing financial stability while we find our feet and establish a sustainable space.
- CIC set-up costs – covering essential fees to formalise our community interest company, ensuring long-term growth and impact.
- Purchasing equipment – securing the necessary tools and materials to continue offering high-quality classes, workshops, and events.
- Enhancing and maintaining our existing studio – carrying out much-needed repairs and updates to keep it a beautiful, welcoming, and fully functional space for healing and connection.
If we are fortunate enough to receive additional support, we can also:
- Invest in marketing and outreach – so as many women as possible can discover and access our supportive community and diverse range of uplifting events and services.
- Subsidise events and workshops – making them accessible to all women, regardless of financial circumstances.
- Improve accessibility – including adding a ramp, upgrading bathroom accessibility, and incorporating essential equipment to ensure inclusivity for all.
- Repair and refresh existing equipment – maintaining yoga props, workshop tools, and class materials in excellent condition for the best possible experience.
- Invest in new workshop and class equipment – expanding our offerings with additional resources to support growth and deepen the impact of our work.
Every contribution directly supports the creation of a safe, nurturing, and uplifting space where women can heal, grow, and thrive together.
Who we are....
Helen has been running Orange Bloom Yoga for over 7 years. She has built a thriving community and space where people feel safe. A qualified yoga teacher, womens holistic health practitioner, coach and massage therapist Helens focus is bring mind:body connection through meditation, somatics and holistic care.
Meg has owned Stockport Birth Services for 9 years and offers empowering antenatal and postnatal support to new families across Stockport and the surrounding areas. She believes that the more knowledge a person has, the more power they have and is looking forward to broadening the scope of what is available to the women of Stockport. Meg has a public health background and a strong history of working within various projects to ensure the voices of all communities are considered.
Dr. Lucy Connor is a well-loved and established local yoga teacher, medical doctor, and energy worker. Specialising in restorative yoga, energetic healing, and spiritual connection, she uses her deep understanding of the body and mind to create nurturing spaces for healing, balance, and deep self-discovery. An accredited crystal practitioner and Reiki healer, she weaves astrology, moon cycles, and holistic wisdom into her work.
