Shed Rejuvenation Project

Hi everyone, it's me, Noon, asking for your help!

As many of you know, I live in a small shed in a backyard. It's a great space for me, the rent is very affordable, and I've been here about 7 years. However, there are some pretty massive problems with it. The biggest one is heat: it gets boiling hot and in summer it can be brutal. I've decided it's finally time to insulate the roof (which is currently just sheets of corrugated iron). Insulation will make summers more bearable and winters much cheaper in heating, not to mention making the room feel nicer to be in.

Buuuuuut it's going to clear out my bank account. So I've decided to ask you all for some financial support! The money will go towards:

-Insulation bats

-Insulation sheeting

-Ply or other light wooden sheeting

-Nails and screws and so on

-Petrol & lunch for people who help me out with the labour

-Maybe hiring an electrician / other tradies so we don't have to do anything dangerous with wires etc. (not sure if this will come up but it seems possible)

I'm going to go ahead with the roof insulation regardless of how this fundraiser goes. But thinking about it got me started thinking about other relatively small upgrades that would massively improve my quality of life. So if I hit the goal there are secondary priorities that I will start working on. I'll post photos of these at some point:

-The window and window frame are old and ineffective and frankly a bit dangerous

-The floorboards have massive gaps, and the carpeting is ancient

-Opening the door is like an arm wrestling match

-Possibly insulating the walls and replacing some of the panelling

I'm going to start working on the roof asap, and any amount you give will make a huge difference to it! I really appreciate you considering donating <3
