Hello,
I am Jayden, 17, and am working toward completing my Eagle Scout project in an effort to better my community. Throughout my scouting journey, my troop's weekly scouting meetings have been held at the Easter Seals Kessler Center located at 402 Rogers Parkway in West Irondequoit, NY. Over the years, I have witnessed the need to rebuild their sensory garden as it has deteriorated.
Based on my research of the school, the colors and smells of the flowers and herbs in the garden help students to stay calm, focused, and engaged in education and activity. By renovating the gardens, I can improve the effectiveness and experience for the students.
With your gracious assistance, I intend to remove the existing garden beds and soil, replace them with newly constructed wooden and pressure treated garden beds with fresh soil, sand them, and paint them with colors to captivate and engage the children. Further, my plan is restore the existing park benches by sanding them and painting them in colors suggested by the school for the benefit of each student. After speaking with the school's counselor, I learned that the colors that have been selected are the colors that are the most effective to achieve the goals that I planned and hoped for.
Any assistance that you can provide will help achieve this goal for the Easter Seals Kessler Center. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
