WaterWise

WaterWise is an educational program of Waterproof Inc,  a 501c3 organization,  in which we volunteers from Seabrook and Kiawah Islands teach first graders from Mt Zion and Edith Frierson elementary schools to swim. Most of these children have never been in the water,  let alone a swimming pool before despite being surrounded by water in the low country of South Carolina. We provide bus transportation to our pool, a professional life guard, insurance, life jackets and a group of certified swim trainers every morning for two weeks in May and again in September every year. Our expenses are over $100 per child per two week session.  We get $1500 a year from our local exchange club but no other funding. We need help to keep this truly life saving organization going for this September and hopefully next year.
