Waterview Estates Entrance Signs

The signs at the three entrances to our neighborhood are showing signs of age; the wood is starting to rot, the paint is fading, and some have broken or missing pieces. Also, the south entrance from Apple does not have a sign facing southbound traffic.
Mark Westra, owner of local business Barn Signworks, built and installed the signs some 24 years ago. When our own ConnieJo Harris contacted him, he said he could refurbish all five existing signs, replacing any parts that are missing or not restorable. To keep costs down, the gold-plated balls on top of the signs would be replaced with black caps. Best of all, Mark offered to waive his labor charge! The job could be completed within a month or so, and the cost to us would be $2100. For an additional $1100--again waiving the labor charge--he would make a new sign to place at the south entrance, so that each entrance would have two signs like the others. Concensus among those joining the discussion was that, with labor charges being waived and interest already having been drummed up, it made sense to add the sign now.
At last count we had almost 40 families willing to contribute to the cost, and more are committing each day!
Funds collected via GoFundMe will be released directly to Barn Signworks.
