Hi guys. My name is susie . As most of you may know i am a volunteer at waterford helping the homeless in railway square in waterford. We provide meals 7 days a week. We provide breakfast from monday / saturday from 11am until 1pm and dinner also at weekends from 5 until 7. Our service users are homeless people and people who are struggling to make ends meet , people with mental health issues and some are just lonely and come to our unit for a chat and some company .Our numbers have doubled in recent times and we as volunteers are struggling. Winter is here and we need to be able to provide warm meals , clothes, tents , sleeping bags, and keep up with the running costs of the unit in general with eletricity , heating and anytuing else that arises. We dont get funding of any kind only what family and facebook friends donate. We are also open throughout christmas including christmas day and when feeding over 20 daily and over 100 at weekends alone you can imagine the costs. So im asking anybody thats in a position to donate a few pound to help us help the most vunerable in our community to do so please. Everybody deserves a warm place to come to in from the rain and wind and a warm meal each day with your help we can make things a little bit easier on vunerable people. Thanks for reading guys ❤️
