In April 2023, 17 TY students from Temple Carrig School Greystones travelled to Uganda with organisation Fields of Life. Spending a week on the ground, the team visited lots of different projects such as schools and vocational colleges. The highlight was visiting the water borehole in a rural community, that the team had fundraised €10,000 for. Having exceeded their fundraising target, the team are already halfway (€5,000) to funding another well for a community in need. Seeing first hand the need for clean safe water, and how life changing it is for the people they really want to reach the €10,000.
