We are raising funds to build a water well in a remote village in Tanzania, in honor of our dear friend Leslie Berg. Leslie has spent years supporting orphans in Tanzania and bringing people together through charity hiking trips. Her kindness and generosity have touched many lives, and we want to celebrate her legacy by providing clean water to a community in need. The well will be built in a village where access to clean water is limited, forcing residents to walk miles to collect water from rivers. By constructing this well, we hope to save time, improve health, and transform daily life for the villagers.

We are working with a trusted local organization in Tanzania that specializes in building wells. They will oversee the construction and provide updates, including photos and videos, once the project is complete. A dedicated plaque will be placed at the well site, reading:

"Maji Ni Uhai.

A Gift of love and memory on behalf of Leslie Berg.

Let every drop reflect the kindness she poured into the world."

This tribute will serve as a lasting reminder of Leslie’s compassion and the impact she has made.

Leslie has been bravely battling (3, now a 4th type of) cancer since 2001 and has chosen to spend her remaining time in comfort, surrounded by loved ones. This well is her gift to the world—a symbol of hope and kindness. We hope she will see this project come to life. Through this fundraiser, we aim to honor Leslie’s legacy and inspire others to spread love and generosity, both in Tanzania and beyond.
