For the past year, I have been supporting a friend’s family in the Hajjah Governate of Yemen, a region where many people—especially the poor and widows—are struggling to survive. The mountainous areas are particularly hard-hit, with families living without access to basic necessities like clean water. The situation is dire, and every day is a challenge for those who call this place home.
